Ada Kirkpatrick

Ada Montez Kirkpatrick the daughter of William Thomas and Clo Ethel (Payne) Hunt was born December 8, 1932 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and departed this life on April 12, 2017 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years, 4 months, and 4 days.

Ada loved her family and loved her role as a wife, mother and grandmother. She and her late husband Edward opened a business together over 32 years ago and it became a staple of downtown Tahlequah. Ada was always proud to be the owner of Ned's. She enjoyed shopping, especially for shoes and purses. She enjoyed gardening, dancing and listening to music. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Ada touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Edward Everett Kirkpatrick; and her brother Gary Hunt.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her sons Steven Mark Kirkpatrick and wife Robin and Gary David Kirkpatrick all of Tahlequah; her sister Twila Brewer and husband David of Tahlequah; and her grandchildren Alexandra Olivia Kirkpatrick, Jada Marie Kirkpatrick, Blake Michael Sellars and Paige Nicole Sellars. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
