Agnes Rogers

December 4, 1940 — May 31, 2022

Agnes Luvena Rogers of Tahlequah, Oklahoma passed away on May 31, 2022, at the age of 81. She was born on December 4, 1940, in Kansas, Oklahoma the daughter of Fred and Leona (Simkins) Rogers.

Agnes loved to be around her family, she showed that love by cooking and keeping them fed. She loved to cook almost as much as they loved to eat her home cooked meals. She enjoyed going camping, fishing, hunting, quilting, sewing, crocheting, gardening, canning, square dancing, and many more things. She worked as a secretary for the Cherokee County Commissioners Office as well as a cook at Oaks Mission School and Northeastern State University. She was generous to a fault and could always make you smile. Her age didn't matter to her and she never missed a beat even being 81 years, she always tried to bring others joy. She will be missed dearly by all those who were blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Fred Rogers and Leona (Simkins) Rogers; children: Elaine and LD Kirk, Mike Cooper; siblings: Alice Ward Curtis, Gene Rogers, Junior Rogers, Tincy Rogers, Eunice Bennett Roach, and Mae Sloan.
