Alfred Ray Million was born February 28, 1939, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at WW Hastings Hospital, to Gilbert Ray and Edith Gertrude (Eslinger) Million. He went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2022, in the Quail Ridge Nursing Home in Colcord, Oklahoma. Alfred grew up in the Liberty area. He married Gracie T. Millsap on February 1, 1958. He started off as a truck driver for a short time. He worked for the paper company in Tulsa as a delivery driver. He then began his time in construction. He was a union carpenter from the 1960's to the 1980's. He built, or helped build several buildings here in Tahlequah including the Baptist Student Union at NSU. He also worked on the pumpback in Salina. After 20 years in construction he began to concentrate on the farm. He got into the shavings business and made a lot of lifelong friends through that. He raised chickens for a time and then began to raise dairy cows. He was very involved in the dairy business nation wide. He enjoyed turning wood, he made several bowls, plates and bats. He loved the Lord and he loved his family dearly. Alfred touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of nearly 60 years Gracie T. Million. He is survived by a loving family which includes his children Larry and wife Cathie of Tahlequah, and Garry and wife Georgia of Vevay, IN; five grandchildren Belinda, Brent and wife Lauren, Mark and wife Taelor and great grandson Aron(Larry's children); Kaylynn and Garrett(Garry's children); and his sister Alpha Laverne(Million) and husband Rev. Jimmy Bell. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
