Anna Mae Buzzard, 93, of Tahlequah, passed from this life on Monday, October 27, 2025. She was born on January 25, 1932, in Tahlequah to Sam Cobb and Mary (McDaniel) Cobb.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Hart Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Manus Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Hart Funeral Home.
Anna was a devout Christian and a faithful member of Shirley Springs Free Holiness Church. She dedicated more than 60 years of her life to fostering children, continuing this loving work until the age of 90. She retired from her career as a special education teacher, where she touched countless lives with patience, compassion, and understanding.
Above all else, Anna was known for her giving heart and her ability to love without condition. She welcomed others as family, offering kindness, meals, and guidance to anyone in need. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and acceptance. Anna cherished her life on the farm, where she cared for her cows, chickens, and roosters, finding joy in tending to her animals. She also delighted in going to garage sales, quilting, and spending time with those she loved.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel “Danny” Buzzard; daughter, Tonya Still; infant granddaughter, Amy Beth Snell; siblings, Evelyn Manners, Jessie “Pete” Duffield, Alvada Adair, and Verna Caviness; and a special family member, Elizabeth Emberton.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Willis, Janet Jarrett, David Craig, and Scott Buzzard; grandchildren, Christin (Scott) Rupert and Eric (Sheila) Jarrett; and her special grandson, James Sanders. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Abram Jarrett, Braxton Rupert, Adrianna Jarrett, and Bailey Rupert; special family members and their families, Rachel (William) Gregory, Kimberly (Lucky) Wheeler, and Crystal Clemons; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who loved her deeply.
Anna’s legacy is one of faith, generosity, and unconditional love. She will be remembered for the goodness she shared so freely and the many lives she touched with her gentle spirit and unwavering heart.
