Mar 17, 1930 — Aug 26, 2026

Anna Louise "Runt" Medlock, 96, a beloved resident of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, peacefully went home to be with the Lord, enveloped by the love of her family, on August 26, 2026. Born on March 17, 1930, in Russeville, Arkansas, Runt was the cherished daughter of the late John Albert Petty and Nancy Ann (Hicks) Petty.

A funeral service honoring her life and legacy will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Hart Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Tahlequah City Cemetery. The family invites all who knew and loved Runt to gather as they celebrate her remarkable life. In alignment with her wishes, there will be no public viewing.

Raised in Welling, Oklahoma, Runt later made her loving home in Tahlequah, where she became a lifelong member of Briggs Holiness Church. Known for her unwavering faith and deep love for the Lord, she inspired many with her kindness and compassion. Runt thoroughly enjoyed shopping but found her greatest joy in cheering for her grandchildren as they played sports, a testament to the importance she placed on family.

In addition to her parents, Runt was preceded in death by her son, Carl Michael Medlock; her husband, Carl Medlock; and her beloved grandson, Mike Medlock, and a great great-grandson, Jase Jones. She was also the last of her siblings, leaving behind a legacy of love that will endure through her family.

She is survived by her sons, John (Linda) Medlock and Joe (Rebecca) Medlock. Additionally, she leaves behind her treasured eight grandchildren, LeAnn Venable, Wes Medlock, Dell Medlock, Shawn Medlock, David Medlock, Tyler Wayne, and Lana Medlock, along with seven great-grandchildren: Brittany, Buddy, Brandon, Ashley, Alysta, Rhyan, and Cheyenne, and eleven great-great-grandchildren: Gunter, Hestin, Maysa, Jax, Jasper, Josslynn, Harlee, Jaxson, Haze, Navie, and Emery. She is also remembered fondly by a host of other family members, friends, and loved ones who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Runt's spirit will live on in the stories shared and the memories cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
