Barbara Ann Trusen

Barbara Ann Trusen, 87, a resident of Park Hill, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026. She was born on May 22, 1939 in Sapulpa, Ok., to the late Owen Jasper Rush and Ella Lee (Thompson) Rush.

A graveside service will be 12:30 PM, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Fort Gibson National Cemetery. A public viewing will be Monday, August 31, 2026 from 3 PM until 5 PM at Hart Funeral Home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband , Leroy Edward Trusen, and a sister, Ruth Henson.

Survivors include her God children, Wanda Edwards and husband Don, Pam Benford and husband Brian, and Mike Wolf along with her lifelong friend, Janice Wolf, and her cat, Houdini

In her earlier years Barbara enjoyed bowling. She and Leroy loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas. Leroy and Barbara owned and operated Okie Country Store on Tenkiller for many years. Barbara worked as the Head of the Jenks Public School Before and After Care Program. She enjoyed attending Jenks football games, and watching OU football games on TV.
