Betty George

Betty Sue George the daughter of Vance and Grace (Kerns) Gassaway was born October 20, 1938 in Hulbert, Oklahoma and departed this life on December 31, 2019 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years, 2 months and 11 days.

Betty loved her family, and she enjoyed her role as a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, cross-stitch, needle-point, reading and working outside. She enjoyed working on the farm hand in hand with her husband Andy, as they raised their four children: Anna Belle, Buck, Andrea and Becky. She loved to travel and enjoy the beauty of God's creation. She enjoyed going to church and she loved her church family. Betty touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Andy George; and her sisters Tina Glory and Wanda Howard.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Anna Belle Isaacs and husband Koy of Welling, Buck George and wife Amber of Tahlequah, Andrea Young of Tahlequah and Becky Walraed of North Carolina; her sisters Vancie Keith and husband Don of Long Beach, CA and Anna Milleson of Hulbert; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
