Betty Heaton

Betty Joyce Heaton was born August 9, 1942, to George and Martha Scott Heaton who preceded her in death. She grew up in Cherokee County and graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1960. She received a Master's of Education from Northeastern State College. For over thirty years Betty taught third grade for Tulsa Public Schools and an additional 10 years as a teacher's assistant.

Betty is preceded in death by Andrew Jackson "Jack" Heaton, brother, his wife Sally Ann Mobley Heaton, and Betty's nephew, Andrew Jackson "Andy" Heaton, II. Living is sister-in-law Shirley Ballew Heaton, of Georgetown, Texas, and niece Julie Ann Parish of Oklahoma City, OK, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

Betty will be missed for her quick-witted humor, kindness, and creativity. She loved to talk about movies and books with her friends. Betty deeply loved the Lord, her friends, and her fur babies.
