Beverly Faye Grant
Beverly Faye (Owen) Grant, 79, passed away on June 27, 2026.
Born on February 6, 1947, in Clarksville, Arkansas, Beverly was the daughter of William Owen and Dorothy (Havener) Brown. She was raised by her grandparents, Buck and Hazel Havener, who played an important role in her upbringing.
Beverly earned her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Northeastern State University. For many years, she owned and operated a home daycare, where she cared for countless children and families in her community. She also worked in early childhood education, dedicating much of her career to helping young children learn and grow. Outside of work, Beverly enjoyed researching her family's genealogy, reading romance novels, making regular trips to Fite's Cafe, and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Beverly was also a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Beverly was independent, determined, and never hesitant to speak her mind. She lived life on her own terms and remained true to herself. She was a survivor. She will be remembered for her perseverance, her love of family, her dedication to caring for children, and the many memories she created with those who knew her.
Beverly was preceded in death by her loving husband, Patsy Dean Grant, with whom she shared over 20 years of marriage; her grandparents; her parents; her sister, Carolyn Griffin; her brother, Forrest Vaught; and her brother-in-law, Doug Hubbard.
She is survived by her children, Todd (Jane) Phillips of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; Linda Falling of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; Paula (Kurt) Langworthy of Derby, Kansas; and Anthony (Shelby) Grant of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; her sisters, Pat Hubbard and Sandy (Robert) Franklin; 11 grandchildren: Atticus, Roland, and Evelyn Grant; Jake (Lauren) Phillips; Luke (Sarah) Phillips; Lynse Falling; Chase Martin; Alex (Colleen) Martin; Matthew (Chloe) Langworthy; Joshua Langworthy; Jacob (Kate) Langworthy; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A memorial service celebrating Beverly's life will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
The family will cherish the memories they shared with Beverly and will remember her in their own special ways.
