Billie Rogers

Billie "Jean" Rogers of Tahlequah, Oklahoma joined the love of her life in Heaven on August 9, 2022, at the age of 92. Jean was born on January 15, 1930, in Searcy, AR the daughter of Rufus and Effie (Brooks) Coles.

Jean was a lovely woman whose faith was very important to her. She loved the Lord with all her heart. Her family was her greatest treasure in life, and she adored every moment she got to spend with them. She married the love of her life Bob Rogers on March 11, 1949, in Benton, AR. She and Bob attended Southside Baptist Church where she played the piano and organ. She loved music, crafting, raising her beautiful flowers in her garden, cooking, crocheting, cross stitching, and much more. She worked as a secretary most of her life and loved every bit of it, getting to interact with everyone and meet new friends. Jean was the type of woman who was raised to give you the shirt off her back if needed. You never left her home without a delicious home cooked meal and a friendly smile. She will be missed by all she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Rufus and Effie, her husband; Robert "Bob" Rogers, and her son; Steven Keith Rogers.

She is survived by a loving family, which includes her son, Ron and wife Liz of Claremore, OK; 2 grandchildren, Timothy Rogers and wife Allyson of Stillwater, OK; and Jenifer Rogers of Tahlequah, OK; and 7 great grandchildren. Numerous family and friends who also survive her.
