He married Nancy Elizabeth Reamy on March 24, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They would have shared 60 years of life and marriage together. He had a long successful career in the horse industry. He started shoeing horses as a young man. He was well sought after as a Farrier for over 40 years. Bill shod horses on race tracks as far as Pompano, Florida, New York, Denver, CO, and Iowa. He shares stories of shoeing over 20 horses a day, and in one instance they even bet on how fast he could shoe a horse. He did it in less than 20 minutes start to finish. Bill also trained horses on most of the tracks he shod horses. He loved to win races. He even put a successful barrel horse that his daughter was riding in a claiming race. He knew he was taking a chance of losing the horse, but he didn't and of course he won the race. Bill spoke of a job he had riding horses that he was fond of. Riding saddle for Joe Don Eaves at the Tulsa Stockyards. He worked at TSI for 10 years. He made a lot of good memories there and most of all a long-lasting friendship with Joe Don. Bill and his family also raised good using horses to compete in Barrel racing, Roping, and just good cow horses. Bill also had several other jobs through the years that kept him a little closer to home. He was employed at the Lost City School as a bus driver and janitor from 1961-1989. He was also an iron worker for Bennett Steel. He sat on the LREC Board and was a member of the Coon Hunter's Association. Bill loved his family very much and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. Bill touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
