Bobby Joe McAlpine the son of Oliver Caruthers and Dovie Mae (Moss) McAlpine was born August 22, 1939 in Earth, Texas and departed this life on July 17, 2018 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 25 days.

Bobby enjoyed life and he loved his family. He was very proud of his heritage and his family meant the world to him. He enjoyed going on cruises, especially to Alaska, and he loved bird watching. Bobby was a hard worker and instilled his hard-working values in his children and grandchildren. He served in the United States Air Force and was very proud of his service. Bobby touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Patricia Anne McAlpine; his daughter Peggy Anne McAlpine; his sisters Ida Thom Thomason and Bertha Faye Carter; and his brothers Earnest McAlpine, Emory McAlpine and Billy Jean McAlpine.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his sons Bobby Joe McAlpine Jr. and wife Janet of Tahlequah, and Michael Wayne McAlpine and wife Tina of Tahlequah; 9 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
