May 16, 1954 — April 8, 2024

Brenda Louise Seitz Lehman, 69 , of Katy Texas, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 after a long battle with stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Brenda was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Marcella Ruth (Perse) Seitz and Thomas Spiral Seitz.

Graveside Service will be 10:30 AM, Friday, April 19, 2024 at Park Hill Cemetery, The family will receive friends at Hart Funeral Home on Thursday, April 18,2024 from 5 PM until 7 PM.

Brenda graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1971. While in High School, she felt more comfortable managing the front office than attending classes and did win the FLBA award her senior year. She also worked her way through Jr High and High school as a waitress. Her waitressing served her well in later years because it allowed her to never meet a stranger plus develop a special skill that made new friends love instantly. These experiences also fostered her business savvy in later years. Brenda was the youngest member of her graduating class at age 16 when she received her diploma. This was made possible by her grade school teacher insisting that she skip 3rd grade.

Brenda married Lieutenant Colonel Joe Morris on July 2, 1971, and together they had one son Jon Lawrence Morris. Thanks to the military, they traveled to exotic ports of call, such as Del Rio, Texas, Pensacola, FL, Quantico, VA and Jacksonville, NC where she and Jon lived at Camp Lejeune for 2 years.

As a consultant in health care finances, she met and then later married Paul Driscoll of Philadelphia, PA. This move allowed the joy of becoming the stepmother of Joseph, Richard, Denise Hughes and Timothy as well as Step-Grandmother to their 10 children. Paul passed away December 12, 2011.

In 2014 Brenda rekindled an old flame with a sweetheart (actually, a co-lover of good BBQ) she knew during her school days at Tahlequah Schools. She married Lyle Lehman on her 60th birthday, May 16, 2014. This event allowed Brenda to win the hearts of Brett and Stephanie Lehman-Abdelmassih which was an easy sell. This union eventually allowed 3 more granddaughters to enter Brenda's life.

In her lifetime Brenda studied at several universities due to relocating to accompany Joe, but received her degree from the University of West Florida in BBA and her also became a Registered Nursing. She was former Director, Practice and Revenue cycle Operations at University of Pennsylvania.

Before retiring, she was recruited by and became the Associate Vice-President Revenue cycle for the University of Texas Health Science center in Houston.

Brenda loved traveling the world, having set foot in 5 Continents, lacking only Africa and Antarctica. Brenda was an avid gardener seeking David Austin roses, had a true eye for interior design, loved and collected colored jewelry, designer handbags and scarves and was devoted to dining room place settings. She also aided Lyle in developing his speed-aging whisky business as Brenda had a very discriminating palette. They collected and enjoyed fine wine. Brenda also had a great love for English Cream Golden Retrievers and for the moment, will leave Matilda Leigh and Rusty Young Kotke in Lyle's hands.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Tom and Marcella Seitz and her son Jon Lawrence Morris.

Brenda Louise Lehman is survived by her husband Lyle Lehman, two brothers: Tommy Seitz and wife Theresa, Oklahoma City, OK ; Jim Seitz and wife Cyndi, Muskogee, Oklahoma; the stepchildren above and 13 step grandchildren and many other cousins and nieces and nephews. Brenda will be missed by all.
