Callie Ferrell

Callie Ferrell the daughter of Robert and Viola (Cole) Green was born January 1, 1922 in Cherokee County, Oklahoma and departed this life on April 24, 2018 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 96 years, 3 months and 23 days.

Callie enjoyed her role as a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to cook and she made the best homemade Pineapple pies and biscuits. She was very proud of her cooking and enjoyed cooking for her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Callie was very good at playing dominoes and was determined to win every time. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting and she loved her cats. Callie touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jess L. Ferrell; her sons Bobby Nofire and Earl Ferrell; her son-in-law Robert Shrum; and her siblings Donald Green, Virgil Green, Lottie Clay, Charlie Green, Johnnie Mae Davis, and Florence Eden.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her daughters Patsy Brown and husband Roger Dale of Shepherdsville, KY and Diana Shrum of Tahlequah; her sister Julia Clay of Tahlequah; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
