Obituary

Carla June Boyle, 83, a resident of Tahlequah, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026. She was born in Oklahoma City, OK., on June 21,1943 to the late Carl W. Anderson and Dorothy Viola (Baker) Anderson.

Celebration of Life Service will be 3 PM, Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Hart Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Tahlequah City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 2 PM until service time.

Carla entered the Oklahoma City public school system and completed high school there. While attending Northeast High School in OKC, she was active in sports and played on the varsity basketball, badminton, volleyball, and softball teams. During her senior year, she was selected as the outstanding girl athlete and given the all-around sports award. Also, in this time period, she was active in Norkets, the school pep club. The club elected her as their queen during her senior year. For three years, she was elected varsity cheerleader. Upon graduation from high school in 1961, Carla entered Oklahoma State University. At the end of her first year, she married Tony Edward Boyle on August 4, 1962.

In 1965, her husband entered the United States Army as a 2nd Lt. During the time of his military service, they lived in four states, and she had the opportunity to partake of the social and cultural events offered by the military. Upon her husband's separation from the services, they were on the move once again. For four years, they lived in four more states and were always close to the academic area of colleges and universities. She then decided to complete her education while she had the opportunity.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Tony Edward Boyle of 62 years, a brother, Gary Anderson and a sister, Gayle Norton.

Survivors include her children, Todd Boyle and wife Becky, Shannon Boyle and Shelly Boyle, four grandchildren, Niki Rogers and husband Brandon, Greg Boyle and wife Brittani, Tyler Bloomcamp, and Maddox Bloomcamp, and four great-grandchildren, Cael Rogers, Drue Rogers, Jaylon Holt, and Bailey Holt, and sister, Jean Woods.
