Carolyn Cochran Foreman, 74, of Oaks, Oklahoma, passed away June 14, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born March 27, 1951, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to the late George Edward Cochran and Narcie Morris Cochran. She attended and graduated from Kansas High School.
Mrs. Foreman was a full-blooded Cherokee and fluent speaker, and a charter member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, attending parties, and dinners at the Oaks Senior Citizen Center. She also enjoyed yard sales and thrift stores. She enjoyed word search puzzles, playing on her tablet and being on Facebook. She loved to read her Bible and listen to Cherokee singing. Besides all her many interests and activities, she was particularly fond of chewing bubble gum, eating chili, and cheering on the Sooners!!!
She was a very proud grandma who loved cheering on her grandkids at their ball games and other activities they were involved in.
Mrs. Foreman always had her doors open to anyone in need and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
She will be missed by her family and all who loved and knew her!
Mrs. Foreman is survived by her two sons, Brian Foreman of Colcord and Leon Foreman of Oaks; two daughters, Brooke Foreman of Oaks and Melissa Claxton and her husband Tom of Leach; six grandchildren, Swain, Ryan, Daran, Briona, Evalena, and Tariah; three great granddaughters, Neila, Kelsea, and Rainey; her sister, Suzanne Maupin; sisters-in-law, Effie Odle, and Lou Cochran; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Narcie Cochran; her husband, Everette Foreman; a brother, Bill Cochran; a brother, Bobby Cochran; and her companion, Adam Vann.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, at Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Twin Oaks Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Elm Cemetery in Leach.
