Carrol Bill Farris the son of Lisle and Lottie Eisenhaur Farris was born November 6, 1922 in Greeley, Nebraska and departed this life on September 14, 2014 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years, 10 months and 8 days.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army for over 26 years serving in WWII and Korea. After Bill retired from the Army he spent the rest of his life doing the things he enjoyed which included bowling, fishing, golfing, reading, and working crossword puzzles. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bill loved to grow a garden and he would can the vegetables that he grew. He also made jelly and some of the best dill pickles in the country. Bill touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents his wife of over 58 years Tommie Edith Farris his daughter Carol Jaquelynn Arrowsmith his sisters Maxine, Eileen, Helen, Ruth and Ginger and his brothers Lisle and Lyman.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his children William Thomas Farris and wife Sharon of Lockhart, TX, Patricia Ann Feathers and husband Kirby of Ponca City, OK, Gary D Farris and wife Elizabeth Ann of Norman, OK, Lottie Sue Farris of Okmulgee, OK, Michael Marion Farris P.A.C. and wife Jody of Austin, TX, Valerie Lee Farris M.D. of Tahlequah, OK, and John Joseph Farris M.D. and wife Brenda M.D. of Tahlequah, OK 30 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 8 greatgreat grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
Serving as Pallbearers will be John Farris, Jason McCarty, James Sutteer, Zak Farris, Mac Farris and Mike Arnold. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: Grandsons and Great Grandsons John, Montana, Paige, Sean, Tom, Will, Griffin, Chase, Colin, Cross, Gunnar, Evan, Everett, Tristan, Khaidyn, Farris, Gabriel and Bert.
