Carroll Stinson-Nunn

In Memory of Carroll Diane Nunn, age 80 of Tahlequah, OK.

Carroll departed from this life on the morning of May 13, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on February 14, 1943 in Los Angeles, CA to Alvin and Faye Stinson.

Growing up in California, she attended and graduated various schools and colleges. It was through Beauty College that she found her lifelong profession which spanned over fifty-five years. Carroll delighted in the trade of beauty and proudly said she was a Cosmetologist.

Throughout her life, she was a best friend, an Aunt, a second Mom, a Sister and a Granny. Then she met and married her soul mate, Robert. Their life together was full of love and adventure, culminating in Carroll's dream, a daughter. She loved being a Mom!

Moving to Tahlequah, Oklahoma and being a Cherokee Citizen, it was heaven on earth to her. Carroll fostered dogs for the county. Her faithful dog, Watson, was also by her side as she passed from this life.

She was preceded in death by mother: Faye Tavano; father: Alvin Stinson; stepmother: Elaine Stinson; brother: Wayne Baker; sister-in-law: Patricia Stinson; brother-in-law: Ronald Lowe; and niece: Crystal Stinson.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Robert; daughter: Serenity; sisters: Yvonne Lowe, Cheryl Lacey, Deborah Wampler and her husband, Zale; brothers: Allen Stinson, Stephen Stinson and his wife, Emma; uncle: Donald Bishop; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
