Cerise Rose (Selvaggi) Patterson of Tahlequah, Oklahoma passed away on July 11, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 81. She was born on August 27, 1940, in Gary, Indiana the daughter of Robert Selvaggi and Irene (Komorowski) Selvaggi.
Cerise was the most kind hearted person you could have met. She would have gave you the shirt off her back and you always had a trusted friend in her. One of Cerises greatest memories is being around her family. She loved to play scrabble and was undefeated, she did a cross word every morning and never missed reading the paper, she could make the best coconut cream pie, and she was known for her famous ravioli. She graduated from Bishop Noll Catholic High School. Cerise was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and loved every piece that came with it no matter how exhausting it could be at times. She graduated in 1979, from John Buchanan School of Nursing. She also worked as an administrator for the nursing home in Arkoma, OK and worked at Wisdom Keepers Retirement Community in Tahlequah. She was a faithful woman and dedicated her life to serving the Lord. She was treasurer at the Nazarene Church and she attended church in Greenwood, AR and Tahlequah. She was apart of the Women's Group at the First United Methodist Church in Spiro and First United Methodist in Ft. Smith, Ar. She was an amazing mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by everyone she leaves behind.
She was preceded in death, by her parents; Robert and Irene Selvaggi, brother; Robert Selvaggi, Jr., and nephew; Seth Selvaggi.
She is survived by a loving family, which includes her children; Jeffrey Travis and wife Debbie of Tahlequah, Amy Kraft and husband Kurt of Oklahoma City,Tracy Hutson of Durant, brother; Daniel Selvaggi and wife Cinde of Bloomington, IN, sister; Mia Reed and husband John of Prescott, AZ, grandchildren; Jason Travis and wife Kendra, Jarrett Travis and wife Jordan, Erin Kraft, Elise Kraft, Alex Hutson and wife Ashley, Anna Sisson and husband James, great grandchildren; Jayden, Jentry, Jayton, Jaxton, Maddox, Ryan, Brooks, Parker, Pressley, Palmer, Xander. As well as numerous family and friends she leaves behind.
