February 23, 1944 — February 19, 2015
Charles McLain the son of Louis and Ada (England) McLain was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on February 23, 1944 and departed this life on February 19, 2015 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 24 days.
Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his best friend Hulsey. He enjoyed watching OU play football and basketball and most any other sports. He loved going to church and worshipping the Lord. Charles touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Phyllis Downing, Kathy McLain, and Shirley Cox; and his brother Jerry Backwater.
He is survived by his brother Thomas Backwater of Salina; 2 nieces; several cousins, friends and other relatives.
