Funeral services for Cynthia Louise Osage, age 65, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, will be held at 11am Friday, December 27, 2024; at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel.
Cynthia Louise Osage was born to Gene Worth Shaner and Barbara Ann (Riley) Marzette on July 11, 1959 in Houston, Texas and passed away on December 10, 2024 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at her home she shared with her husband Watt (Wahoo) Osage of 40 years.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her mother (Barbara Ann Marzette), her maternal grandparents (Milton and Nadine Riley), her paternal grandparents (Worth Shaner and Mildred Shaner), her grandson Kamal Jafri.
Cynthia is survived by her husband Watt (Wahoo) Osage and their two children. Jill Alease and her husband Eddie of Magnolia, Texas. Heath Aaron Osage of Oklahoma. Jill's three children Saqlain Jafri Jr and Jordyn Ali-Louise Jafri of Austin, Texas and Rylee Jafri of Magnolia, Texas. Heath's two daughters Emily and Molly Osage of Oklahoma. Cynthia is also survived by her father Gene Shaner and his wife Ann of San Leon, Texas; sister Diana (Shaner) Wilson of New Braunfels, Texas; her brother Michael Shaner and his wife Susan of Alvin, Texas and her sister Pamela Shaner of Alvin, Texas. Along with 4 nephews, 5 nieces and as well as many great nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.
Cynthia valued education and wanted to lead by example. She was very excited to receive her Associates degree with her son, Heath Osage. She went on to receive her BSW (Bachelors of Social Work) and her MSW (Masters of Social Work). She worked several years for Child Welfare before she became disabled. She loved working with her families and making a difference in their lives. Cynthia was a social worker at heart and volunteered at multiple agencies to continue her mission of helping people.
