Dashika Ray

August 7, 1985 — November 17, 2025

In Loving Memory of DaShika Danae Ray, a Sweet Soul, called home too soon after losing her battle with cancer. With profound sadness and tender love, we announce that Shika, as she was affectionately known, at age 40, was called home to live with God far sooner than any of us ever imagined.
On November 17, 2025, surrounded by love and held in the arms of grace, Shika transitioned from this world peacefully and stepped into eternal light to receive her Heavenly Wings.. Born on August 7, 1985, Shika brought warmth, kindness, and a quiet strength to everyone Blessed to know her. Her gentle spirit touched hearts effortlessly, offering comfort, laughter, and compassion wherever it was needed most. Whether through a simple smile, a listening ear, or a helping hand, Shika lived a life that reflected genuine love and faith. She cherished time with family and friends, finding joy in the small, sacred moments-sharing meals, celebrating milestones, and offering unwavering support. Shika had a way of making those around her feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. Though our hearts ache with an immeasurable loss, we take comfort in knowing that Shika is now held in God's eternal embrace, free from all pain, and surrounded by peace. Her light continues to shine through the memories we carry and the love shared so abundantly. Although Shika experienced struggles throughout her short life, she graduated from Tahlequah High School and went on to enroll at NSU-Tahlequah for a few semesters. She later moved to Tulsa, OK to live with her mother where she worked various jobs in retail. Later on, she moved back to Tahlequah, where she lived until she transitioned to her heavenly home. She had a special bond with many family members, like Marilyn, who loved to take her to get Mani-Pedi's and Sandy and Gwen who took her to the Casino when she was up for it.. Some of her hobbies are learning to sew and listening to music. She really loved Lil Wayne's music and always said he was the Love of her life.
DaShika is survived by her mother, Shirley Ray of the home in Tahlequah, OK, who will forever hold her memory close; her son, Brayden Austin Ray of Tulsa, OK; her sisters- Sheila Durant (Michael) of Everman, TX; Tosha Ray Culton (Alvin) of Tulsa, OK; brother- Clifford Lee Ray, Jr. of Grand Prairie, TX; Aunts -Shirley Ray of Tulsa, OK; Wilma Ray of Oklahoma City, OK; Doris Johnson of Dallas, TX; Dora McDowell of Tahlequah, OK; Charlene White of Stilwell, OK; Deborah Keys of Broken Arrow, OK; Sandra Todd of Tulsa, OK; Pam LeSane of Valdosta, GA; Gwen Keys of Tahlequah, OK; Norma Keys of Tulsa, OK; Carla Kercheval of Dallas, TX; Doreatha Edmundson of San Diego, CA; Tammy Becknell of Stone Mountain, GA.
