David Smith

David Wynn Smith of Tahlequah, Oklahoma passed away on Thursday September 2, 2021, at Northeastern Health System at the age of 62. He was born the son of Walter and Tomona (Carson) Smith on September 19, 1958.

David enjoyed life, nature and working. He was an outdoorsman at heart. He loved being outdoors whether he was rock hunting, fishing, working in the garden, cooking out on an open flame, or even going on a hike through the woods, if he was outdoors he was happy. He was a simple man who enjoyed the smaller things in life. He worked hard his whole life to put food on the table and clothes on his childrens back. After retirement you couldn't keep David from working on something to keep his mind busy whether it be the truck, woodworking or building something, he always had to be doing something useful. David was a good country man who lived his life to the fullest and up to the saying "you cant keep a good man down." He will be missed dearly by all the friends and family who he left behind to cherish all the great memories.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife of the home, Jewell, his children, Shaun Smith and his fiance Katherine, Sylvia Kasper and her husband Seth, three grandchildren, Jonathan Kasper, Naomi Kasper and Matthew Gray, siblings, Janet Smith, Kurby Smith and wife Linda, and Lanna Brimer. Numerous extended friends and family.

A service will be held at a later date.
