She later joined Pilgrim's Faith Ministries of Muskogee, Oklahoma under the direction of Pastor Walter Brown, Jr. and was a faithful member until the time of her death. She loved studying her bible and was happiest when "blasting" her gospel music. Deloris loved spending quality time with her grandchildren. She loved the arts. When she had quiet time, she enjoyed painting, writing poetry and gardening. Deloris was employed with Case and Associates in Tulsa, OK. As tribute to her excellent work ethic, she was nominated for Tulsa 2016 Housekeeper of the Year.
Deloris was one of the founding members of Cherokees for Black Indian History Preservation (CBIHP). The Foundation was very dear to her heart. Now Deloris's life will become part of the history she worked so hard to preserve.
