Doanna Whaler

Doanna Lou Whaler the daughter of Leo Smith Sr. and Fannie Mae (Lincoln) Kincaid was born January 20, 1950 in Springfield, Colorado and departed this life on July 25, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years, 6 months and 5 days.

Doanna was the eldest of nine children. She graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1968 and was a long time employee of Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City. She enjoyed life and loved spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies included cooking, camping, fishing, dancing and she loved her privacy reading a good book. She loved her cat Cho which she leaves behind. She enjoyed going to the Redbird Stomp Grounds and being involved in her native heritage. She loved listening to country and gospel music. Doanna touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leo Smith, Fannie (Lincoln) Kincaid; her sister Linda Mitchell; her nephew Michael Tehee and her niece Diane Mitchell.

She leaves behind a loving family to rejoice in her going home to be with the Lord which includes her children Connley Whaler of Yukon, OK and Zanae Craig and husband George of Eldon, OK; her sisters Wydinca Smith of Moore, OK, Wynenna Smith of Colorado, Devania Wacoche and husband Woxie of Muskogee, OK, Saruth Hodgin and husband Michael of Moore, OK, Rejeania Hudson and husband Charlie of Moore, OK, Eliza Sanders of Tahlequah, Leola Girdner of Tahlequah, and Patricia Roberts Smith of Moody, OK and Celia Smith of Tahlequah, OK; her brothers Leo Smith of Mustang, OK and Eric Smith of Moore, OK; her grandchildren Taaz Lee Whaler and wife Dana of South Carolina and Shane Connley Whaler and wife Kelsi of South Carolina; and 5 great grandchildren Caylyn, Layla, Connley, Bayli and Parker. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
