Dorothy Moore

Dorothy Faye Moore, age 80 of Tahlequah, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Celebration of Life Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the Caney Cemetery under the direction of the Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Visitation hours will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at the Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Dorothy Faye Moore was born in Checotah, Oklahoma to Lester and Henrietta (Kurkendall) Gramlich. She grew up in Checotah and graduated from the Checotah High School. Dorothy then attended and graduated from Northeastern University with a teaching degree.

In 1961 Dorothy married Bob Moore in Caney, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Independence, Missouri where Dorothy taught School. In 1969 the couple moved back to Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She taught at Leach and Woodall Schools before retiring from Tahlequah Schools in 1993. She then went to work with her husband Bob at Moore Brothers Floor Covering. The couple loved to Travel after retirement.

Survivors include two sons; Gene and wife Karen Moore and Doug Moore; brother Ken Gramlich; grandchildren Bradley Moore, Heather Moore, Devin Jones, Emily Hammill and Husband Josh; great grandchildren Savannah Moore, William Moore, Theo Goff, Carson Jones and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Moore and one brother Richard Gramlich.
