Earlene "Sammie" Craig the daughter of George L. and Millie Bell (Vaughn) Doss was born September 14, 1937 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on June 28, 2016 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years, 9 months and 14 days.
Sammie loved her family but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sammie was a fabulous cook and loved working with her flowers and taking road trips. She had an amazing ability of remembering family and extended family birthdays, she would always call and sing to them. Sammie was everything a mother should be, if you looked in the dictionary under mother, Sammie far exceeded that definition. She was precious to God, her family, and all that knew her. She had unbelievable strength, not just in body but in her soul. Her legacy is one of virtue, safety, strength, love, compassion, selflessness and honor. A woman of such virtue and character is hard to find in our day and time. She has a legacy that can be used as an instruction manual to live by. She not only believed it, she lived it. She planted a seed in every heart she touched and that seed will grow a life that is a shining example of Jesus. She left here only to run into the arms of God and hear "well done my child". Sammie touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband L.A. Craig; her brothers Dallas Doss, Alton Doss, and Adrin Doss; and her sisters Susie Owens and Linda Mullin.
She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Delena Craig Goss, Mitchell Grant Craig and wife Sandra, Terry Anthony Craig and wife Vickey, George Sean Craig and wife Zanae, Clint Stoney Hougland and Zella Coldwell and husband Allen all of Tahlequah; her brothers Jimmy Doss and Carl Doss; her grandchildren Megan Craig Phillips and husband Ashley, Morning Dawn Earlene Sierra, Zachary Craig and wife Connie, Amicia Craig, Wayne Coldwell, Gabe Coldwell and Jake Coldwell; and her great grandchildren Isabella Sierra, Langston Sierra, Nyla Sierra, Addy Craig and Holden Craig.
