Elizabeth King

Elizabeth Exie Wise King (Exie) was born in Riverside, CA on December 20, 1952. She passed from this life on November 25, 2024, in Tahlequah, OK at the age of 71. Exie was born to Bill and Rose Wise, the middle of five children. She was a military brat growing up, joking that she attended thirteen elementary schools from Alabama to Okinawa, Japan, before finally settling down in Tahlequah. Exie was an exceptional dancer and was part of the Trail of Tears drama for many years. Exie always loved animals, later owning, breeding and showing championship German Shepherds and operating Riverbend Kennels on the Illinois River.

Exie married Bobby King in 1979. She is survived by her two children, Summer and wife Deanna of Miami, OK, Robert and wife Emmy of Tahlequah, OK, and one granddaughter, Carolyn King of Tahlequah, OK. She is also survived by her siblings Sandy Giersch (Overland Park, KS), Jerry Wise (Lynnwood, WA), Susie Dickson (Claremore, OK), and Debbie Neal (Glenpool, OK). Exie is proceeded in death by her father Billie Redford Wise, her mother Nanie Roseline Wise, and her husband Bobby King.

Services will be December 15, from 2-4pm at First Presbyterian Church of Tahlequah.
