Elizabeth Timmons

Elizabeth A. Timmons the daughter of Oliver and Victoria Gray Hodges was born December 6, 1911 in Welling, Oklahoma and departed this life on August 9, 2014 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 101 years, 7 months and 3 days.

Elizabeth loved to travel and enjoyed doing any kind of craft work. She was always looking for new crafts to work on and enjoyed going to craft shows and looking at the different things people made with their hands. Elizabeth was a kind hearted lady and enjoyed doing volunteer work most anywhere. She was one of the first Volunteer Candy Stripers at the Tahlequah City Hospital. She loved being able to help people. Elizabeth touched many lives over the past century and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents her husband Allen Timmons her sister Sue Nell Grooms and her brother R.O. Hodges.

She is survived by her 3 nephews and their families: Bill Grooms and wife Shirley of Westville, Dick Hodges and wife Pam of Anna, IL, and Jim Hodges and wife Linda of Florida. Grand nieces, grand nephews,several friends and other relatives also survive her.
