Elletra Harms, 67 years of age, of Beatrice, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at her home on April 24, 2025.
Elletra was born on January 8, 1958, in Sumter, South Carolina and was adopted at birth by her parents, Chaplain Sudderth and Lawanda Harms. As a young adult, Elletra moved to Mosaic (formerly Martin Luther Home) in Beatrice, and this was her home through the rest of her life. Elletra is remembered for the way she approached life with a boundless passion and faced challenges with remarkable strength and grace. Elletra's sharp wit, heartfelt "opinions", and sense of humor brought light to those around her. Elletra especially enjoyed spa days, getting her hair styled and nails manicured, and picking her jewelry and hair accessories every day. She loved celebrating her birthday, freshly cut flowers, stickers and notebooks, holding babies, cats and puppies, and visiting with her favorite friends. Her legacy will live on in the memories she leaves behind.
Those left to mourn her passing include her brother and sister-in-law, Reverend Rickey and Crystal Harms of Seligman, Missouri; nephews, John and his wife Amanda Harms and Matthew and his wife, Megan; one niece, Jolana and her husband Brad Gooding; great nieces and nephews, Quinlynn, Keagan, Hattie, Silas, Clayton, Dylan, Titus, and Rowan; and her Mosaic family-friends she lived with and her staff.
There will be a Memorial Celebration of Life for Elletra at Mosaic Chapel (722 South 12th Street Beatrice, Nebraska) on May 7th 2025, at 3:30 PM, with Pastor Eric Spruth-Janssen officiating . Burial will be at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
