Eric Rooster

Eric Dewayne Rooster, 38, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, passed away June 12, 2024, in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Eric was born August 7, 1985, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, to the late Douglas Rooster and Denise Darlene Pritchett Drywater.

He is survived by his two sons, Braxton Rooster, Eric Dewayne Rooster, Jr., and his stepson, Victor Smith, all of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; daughter, Angel Rooster; sister, Latricia Proctor and her husband Nick of Henryetta, Oklahoma; brothers, Joseph Pritchett and his wife Samantha of Kansas, Kyle Drywater and his wife Kosie of Flint Ridge, Oklahoma, Jimmy Drywater and his wife Alissa Gourd of Claremore, Oklahoma; aunts, Jolene Pritchett and husband Kevin Vann of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, LaDonna Garcia and her husband Jose of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Karen Pritchett of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Rita Stopp of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; uncles, Sammie Wilson and his wife, Phyllis of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Clayton Pritchett of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Billy Pritchett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Richard Pritchett and his wife Pam of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; his papa, Darren Drywater; and his step-grandparents, Carolyn and Jimmy Drywater of Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Eric was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Dennis and Louise Pritchett; paternal grandparents, Jim and Alice Rooster; parents (see above); aunts, Sharon Scraper, Carolyn Castillo, Bonita Caviness, and Lena Faye Ballard; uncles, Darrell Wilson, Vincent Scraper, Johnny Pritchett, and William Stopp.

Visitation will be Monday, June 24, 2024, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, at Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 24, 2024, 2:00 PM, in the Chapel at Hart Funeral Home.
