Ethel Marie Glad the daughter of Rolandus and Audrey (Bailey) Ross was born April 24, 1929 in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma and departed this life on November 28, 2018 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 4 days.
Ethel loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and she loved to sit in her porch swing. Her homemade candy was well known. Gardening was her thing. She loved her flowers and there was nothing that she couldn't grow. She was very proud to be a veteran's wife and she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary and she was very active with the Mason's as well as being a Shriner's Lady. She remained very involved and active with these organizations as long as she was able . Ethel touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Iris Steeley and Rosemary McAlister and her brother Louie Ross.
She is survived by a loving family which includes her husband of over 71 years Fred M. "Tucker" Glad of the home; her children Marilyn Jean Glad of Edmond, Judith Ann Glad of Oklahoma City and John R. Glad and wife Penny of Tahlequah; her brother Ira "Babe" Ross of Ft. Gibson; her sister Ruth Ann Garoutte of Joplin; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
