Felix Lee Johnson, age 88, of Peggs, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on June 1, 2025. Born on January 26, 1937, in Claremore, Oklahoma, Felix lived a life marked by dedication, strength, and deep faith.
Funeral Service, 1 PM, Friday, June 6, 2025, at Johnson Prairie Baptist Church, burial to follow in church cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 5 ,2025, from 4 PM until 6 PM at Hart Funeral Home.
He was an all-star athlete in his youth, a proud U.S. Army Veteran, and a hardworking steelworker. Later in life, he answered the call to the ministry and served as a Licensed Minister at Johnson Prairie Baptist Church, where he was a spiritual leader and a friend to many.
A proud Cherokee, Felix spoke Cherokee as his first language and carried his cultural heritage with honor. He also raised cattle and found joy in working the land,a true steward of faith, tradition, and family.
Felix shared 65 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Glenda Faye (Hobbs) Johnson. Their enduring love and partnership were the foundation of a strong and loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Beatrice Johnson, and his sisters, Lily Jumper, Irene Garner, and Ida Drywater.
Felix is survived by his wife, Glenda Faye Johnson of the home; his brother, Billy Johnson; his children, Richard & Vicki Johnson, Pam & Roger Fine, Vickie and Mitch Ogle, and Bobby & Julie Johnson; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
His life was a testament of faith, humility, and hard work. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
