Florence Matlock

Florence V. Matlock went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2021. She was born on October 9, 1939, in Caney, Oklahoma to Ed and Annie (Brewer) Watson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Boyd Matlock; her sisters Betty Watson and Lovenita Thompson; and her brother K.O. Watson. She is survived by her son Eugene Matlock of Welling; her daughter Remona Duncan of Skiatook; her granddaughters Krystal and husband Alvin Watts of Skiatook and Angie and husband Josh Frias of Katy, TX; and her great-grandchildren Shianne and Darius of Katy, TX.

Boyd and Florence moved to Bartlesville in 1966 where they lived and worked for Woolaroc until retirement in 1997 when they returned to Welling. Florence was a true Christian lady. She would read her Bible everyday and she went to church as much as she could. She loved her church family very much. Her most enjoyment was just having family members surround her and eating and laughing at the kitchen table or just sitting outside on the front porch enjoying the fresh air and birds singing. She touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
