Garry was born October 13, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Charles Orville Gage and Vera Lou Bradford Gage. He attended Cherokee Elementary School and graduated from McClain High School in Tulsa. Garry met the love of his life, Corrine Thompson, while attending Northeastern University. They married on May 31, 1969, at the Church of Christ in Tahlequah. This is also around the time that he found Christ. God called Garry to preach and he preached in Maple, Texas, El Dorado, Texas, and Forth Worth, Texas, where he received his Master’s of Divinity. He continued preaching in Jackson, Illinois, and by this time, he and Corrine had their two children, Kara and Adrian. He continued preaching in Moorehead, Kentucky and Braman, Oklahoma. While in Braman, he received his second master’s degree in psychology and junior college teaching. After that, they moved back to Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where he taught, sold insurance, and worked for Lake Region Electric Company, all the while preaching across Northeastern Oklahoma.

Garry’s favorite past times were spending time with his kids and grandkids, studying the Bible, watching westerns, eating ice cream and embarrassing his family!

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Corrine Gage of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; two children, Kara Romine and her husband David, and Adrian Gage and his wife, Rose; five grandchildren, Damon and his wife Michaela Hayes, Madison and her husband Wade Bullard, Zoeie Gage, Montanna Willis, and Willow Willis; and two great-grandchildren, Tony Hayes and Maverick Bullard.

Garry was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Orville Gage and Vera Lou Bradford Gage, one brother, Larry Gage and one sister, Nancy Vogt.
