Geoffrey Hampton

Geoff passed away August 27, 2020. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky March 29, 1972.



He was preceded in death by his firstborn, Samuel Hampton, his cousin, Derek Robinson, grandparents Percy and Emily Hampton and Arnold and Ruth Abercrombie. Geoff is survived by his two daughters Chesney and Faith Hampton. Geoff loved all of his children. He is also survived by his parents, George and June Hampton, his sister, Michele Hampton, his niece, Olivia Hampton, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.



He graduated from Lafayette High School where his parents, aunts, uncles, sister, cousins, and two of his children also graduated. He played football and was a State Champion in swimming.



Geoff moved to Oklahoma where his father's side of the family had Cherokee roots in Grove, Oklahoma. He grew to love Oklahoma. It had lakes, streams, and rivers where he could fish and swim. He also visited the casinos. He said they had very reasonably priced meals. It was hard for us in Kentucky to lose him to Oklahoma. We missed his presence.
