George Watt Flute the son of Rev. Levi and Maggie (Fields) Flute was born Oct 24, 1949 in Tahlequah, OK and departed this life to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Aug 22, 2018 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 68 years.
George also known as Papa by his family was married to Pearlene (Cheater) Flute and to this union was blessed with five children. Papa had a smile and a nod for everyone he met, he never met a stranger.
He enjoyed his time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and he liked watching western movies, and tinkering with watches, and he was always buying spark plugs every week for his lawn mower. He liked taking pictures and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. Overall, he loved his family very much.
Papa was employed with Greenleaf Nursery for 20 plus years. Above all Papa was a Child of God. Several years ago, he accepted by faith Jesus Christ to be his Lord and Savior knowing that his name is written in the Lambs Book of Life.
Those preceding Papa in death include his parents Levi and Maggie (Fields) Flute; his brothers Charlie Thirsty, Tom Thirsty, and Norman Flute; nephew Darrel Lee McCoy; brother in laws Sam McCoy and Nick Cheater; sister in law Charlotte (Greenwood) Flute; father in law William Cheater; mother in law Emma Cheater; sister in law Maxine Cheater; niece Shelby Washington, and one infant grand baby Lakota Raine Wacoche
Papa leaves behind a loving family which includes his wife of 48 years Pearlene Flute of the home; his children Alene, Lajuana, Sheila and companion Sixto Jimenez, Levi and wife Gina, Eric and wife Jennifer, all of Tahlequah, OK; sister Peggy (Flute) McCoy of Cookson, OK; brother Leo Flute of Texas; sister in laws Marquita Cheater of Tahlequah, OK; Wilma Jean (Cheater) Bohlken of Wichita, Kansas, Charlotte (Galcatcher) Flute of Stilwell, OK; aunt Nannie Sue McLemore of Stilwell, OK; brother in law Dale Cheater of Stilwell, OK; 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, and friends also survive him. Papa will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
