George Harrison

Burial will be February 6, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Ft. Smith National Cemetery in Ft. Smith, AR

George Edward Harrison the son of Clarence Herman and Elizabeth Lee (Nixon) Harrison was born August 30, 1940 in North Little Rock, Arkansas and departed this life on January 17, 2015 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 18 days.

George served his country proudly as a United States Marine. After his military career he worked for the City of Ft. Smith, Arkansas until he retired. He enjoyed doing heat and air work and just doing maintenance work. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time on the lake and love fishing. George enjoyed life and touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Wendell Harrison.

He is survived by his wife Anna Lee Harrison of the home; his children Eddie and Cheryl Harrison of Bryant, AR, David and Sheila Harrison of Bryant, AR, Sondra and Tim Daniel of Mayflower, AR, Terri and Jay Thompson of Malvern, AR, Glenn and Amy Harrison of Jackson, TN, Elaine and Mike Glidewell of Ft. Smith, AR and Greg and Jennifer Harrison of Brazil, TN; his brother Herman Harrison of Jacksonville, AR; his sisters Ruth Harrell of Jacksonville, AR and Marilyn and R.M. Foster of Little Rock, AR; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
