Gerald Howell

Gerald Howell, 62, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on Saturday April 25th just before 7pm. He served his country honorably as a United States Marine from 1970-1974.

His first priority in life was his children, his second was golf. Gerald spent many evenings and weekends on the course, looking for "that one, true, authentic swing." He would often say "life and golf are really a lot alike".

More than anything, he was a beloved father and family member: A teacher to Chris, a friend to Ryan, and a protector to Casey. He adored his grandchildren; Joshua, Sophie Louise, and Gwendolyn Rose. He was a proud father-in-law to Gabrielle Howell, Cash Noel, and Katie Gillies. Gerald was a loyal brother to Michael and a devoted friend to Keith. To the end, he kept a place in his heart for his kids' mother, Linda.

His gift to the world was his heart, his smile, and his tears which he gave unashamedly and without condition.

If a life is measured by the love a person gives, then he rests now, among the great duffers.
