Glenn Pierce

May 31, 1922 — December 20, 2017

Glenn Oscar Pierce went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017. Glenn was born May 31, 1922, to George Oscar and Blanche Levine (Knepshield) Pierce in Edmon, Pennsylvania, where he grew up and attended high school. He married Edith Sarah Robson, of Jeannette, Pennsylvania, on Jan. 1, 1941.

Glenn and Edith worked at Kingswood Children's Home in Tennessee for several months before moving to Wheaton, Illinois. Glenn worked as a carpenter, building houses for many years. He then worked for the local county forest preserve. Glenn also volunteered at his local church as a teacher, a deacon and, later, an elder. He also did maintenance of the church building. His hobbies were camping, bird watching and wood carving.

After their retirements, Glenn and Edith volunteered with various Christian organizations throughout the country. They moved to Go Ye Village in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, in 1992.
