Gordon Brown

Gordon Brown the son of Dorris D. and Christine (Miller) Brown was born December 18, 1952 in Raleigh, North Carolina and departed this life on May 7, 2015 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years, 4 months and 19 days.

Gordon lived a wonderful life filled with love. He lived in many different places growing up including North Carolina, New York State, India, Virginia, Texas and finally settling in Oklahoma. During his time in India he learned to play the Tabla and he learned to speak the language very well. He loved to dance and sing and play the drums. Gordon loved to travel and eat. He had a huge heart and was very good with kids and enjoyed spending time with young people. He was very even tempered and never met a stranger. He loved music and Elvis was his all time favorite. Gordon touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his brothers Bernard Brown and wife Antonia of Virginia, Dudley Brown and wife Sara of Tahlequah and Robert Brown and wife Susan of North Carolina; his sister Connie Carpenter of Vermont; nephews Matthew, Ben, Jesse, Brian, Patrick, William and Sam; nieces Deborah, Sara and Kristen; and 11 great nieces and nephews. Many friends and other relatives also survive him.
