Hank Wilson

October 9, 1952 — March 30, 2015

Hank Wilson of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away at his home surrounded by family and loved ones on March 30, 2015 at the age of 62. Hank was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on October 9, 1952 to James Martin Wilson and Barbara Jean (Mitchell) Allen. Hank was a true renaissance man, an adventurer who enjoyed the challenge of trying new things and becoming very proficient at them. He was an electronic engineer by trade, but if you named something, Hank had probably dabbled in it and was darn good at it. He was a ham radio operator, hang glider, banjo picker, guitarist, drummer, singer, square dancer, treasure hunter, magician, taxidermist, collector, fixer, and protector. The passion Hank had for all his pursuits were only exceeded by the passion he had for those he fiercely loved. He would often pull out his guitar and sing impromptu concerts for family and friends or show them his most recent flea market finds. He'd draw you into his world and all who knew him were lucky to be a part of it.
Hank is survived by a his wife, Joyce Wilson; step father Bill Allen of Choteau; brother Greg Kjonegaard of Chouteau; daughters Shannon Hoopingarner and husband Lance of Broken Arrow, Shaonna Burke and husband Brian of Broken Arrow, and Shelley Wilson and husband Albert Huang of New York City; step children Misty Janes and husband Brad of Glenpool and Israel Carter of Odessa, Texas; his Aunts Grace Kelley of Coweta and Roberta Mitchell of Pryor and 8 grandchildren. Many beloved cousins, nieces, other relatives, and friends also survive him.
