Harold Hooper

February 20, 1961 — March 2, 2022

Harold Gene Hooper, lovingly known as Chooge, was born February 20, 1961, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to George Hooper Sr. and Annie Drywater, and departed this life on March 2, 2022, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years and 10 days.

Chooge was a special guy that stole the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him. If you ever ran across him you probably remember him carrying his cup of pop around. He was very meticulous about certain things, he made his bed every morning, and he washed his hands often, he didn't like his hands to be dirty. He was a jokester, when he was younger he would sneak away from the house and everyone would have to look for him, he also learned how to snap his fingers, (by making the noise with his mouth). He enjoyed magazines and books, and sitting in the sun. You were one of the lucky ones if you received a card or a paper wad from him once his art was complete. He liked to eat at the family gatherings especially Christmas when you knew everyone would be there. He knew there would be a present for him even though he might save it for one of these days! Chooge was raised at home with his mom until she passed. He was cared for the remainder of his life by his sister Billie Ann- "BB", and Lee. Chooge chose Lee as his best friend and buddy. Chooge was a special guy with a huge heart that touched many lives over the years and he wil be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his sisters Regina McLemore and husband Donald, Billie Vance and fiance' Lee Cobb, Brenda Locust and Lisa Ketcher all of Tahlequah. A host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
