Haskell Kindle,Sr.

Haskell Ray Kindle was born on April 7th 1932 in Clearfork, Ok. To Claude and Emma (Reese) Kindle. On July 20th, 1949, at seventeen, he joined the U.S. Army and served until July 21st, 1952. He married Wanda Sanders on May 25th, 1954. He was told by his wife that if he came home drinking one more time, then she would take their baby boy and go back to her momma's, he knew she meant it. He started going to church with her, accepted Christ as his savior and in 1960 was ordained as a deacon. In 1964 he was hired by the Oklahoma Forestry Department and worked until he retired in 1994. He raised a son and a daughter and served as a deacon for over 60 years. He was a proud Republican and personally gave his son orders not to have a Democrat preach his funeral. He took care of his wife after she developed dementia for about 19 years until her death. In his final years he had Minnie Scott as his close companion.

He was preceded in death by his father Claude (1897), his mother Emma (1901), his wife Wanda (1935), siblings Anna (1919), Richard (1920), Virgil (1923), Alterine (1925), Louise (1928), Johnny (1935), Cecil (1937), and Curtis (1942).

He is survived by his son Haskell Kindle Jr. and wife Pamela, his daughter Donna Leger and husband Richard. Three grandsons: Travis Ward, Zachariah Kindle, Ezekiel Kindle and wife Kyla. Three great grandsons: Trevin Ward and fiancée Shealee, River Ward, and Landon Ward. His favorite nieces, and a host of family and friends who will miss him.

Funeral Service will be 2 PM, Friday, September 25, 2026 at Hart Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Terry Guthrie officiating. Burial to follow at Proctor-Sanders Cemetery.

A public viewing will be Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Hart Funeral Home.
