Helen Jones

Helen Louise Jones the daughter of Henry Loy and Berniece Martin Summers was born May 8, 1926 in Checotah, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 11, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 4 months and 3 days.

Helen loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed getting together with friends and family. She loved to read and always had a book in tow. Helen enjoyed sports and watching college sports on television. She had been an OU fan along with her late husband Davis Ray Jones for many years, but learned to love the OSU cowboys when her granddaughter decided to attend college there. In her later years she was OSU all the way. Helen touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Davis Ray Jones.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Sammye Halladay Davidson and husband John of Tucson, Arizona and Lynn Silka of Tahlequah, Oklahoma her grandchildren Wendy Wallace and husband Carl of Tahlequah, Jon Silka and wife Jessica of Tahlequah, Davis Davidson of Albuquerque, NM and Aaron Davidson and wife Meghan of Tuscon, AZ and 9 great grandchildren. A host of family friends and church family also survive her.
