Helen Novak

Helen Marie Novak, 66, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, departed from this life on September 4, 2021, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Eula (Mullen) Goodman and Leroy "Red" Sandlin and was born May 29, 1955 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, before moving to Tahlequah where she started a family, worked and retired. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Billy Bloomer, and sister, Edna Darlene Tinnin.

Helen attended Tahlequah Public Schools and then went on to work many years in the medical field, taking on numerous roles and titles as well as secretarial work. Before retiring, Helen was the Business Office Manager at Cherokee County Nursing Center in Tahlequah for 16 years where she made many dear friends and cherished memories.

Helen married her sweetheart, Kim Kerry Novak, on March 23, 2004, in Washington County, AR. They loved traveling, attending concerts and shows, as well as going to dinner and trying new restaurants. Helen loved going to the casino, having family gatherings, and spending time with her girlfriends, Kelsey, Andrea, and Judy. Helen's absolute pride and joy were her two sons, Eric and Sean Bilby.

Helen enjoyed life and lived each and every day to the fullest. She was known and loved by many and will be greatly missed. Her influence will remain in the lives of all who knew her.

Helen is survived by her husband, Kim, of the home, son Eric of Tahlequah, OK, son Sean and his partner, Chrissy of Hulbert, OK, daughter Bobbi-Jo of Montreal, MO, son Kerry C. of Buffalo, MO, sister Sherry of Sallisaw, OK, sister Barb and her husband Ronnie of Sallisaw, OK, sister Shaunda of Tahlequah, OK, ten beautiful grandchildren and a host of beloved nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones.
