Henry Dill

February 2, 1932 — January 14, 2024

Mr. Henry Carl Dill, 91, a resident of Hulbert, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 14, 2024. He was born on February 2, 1932 in Kansas, Oklahoma to the late Alex Dill and Elsie (Cummins) Dill.

Funeral service will be 2 PM, Thursday, January 18,2024 at Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until service time at the funeral home.

Carl loved the outdoors, farming, and working, playing cards, puttin gtogether jigsaw puzzles, and playing Skip-Bo. He never sat idle. Carl worked over 30 years as a letter carrier, and was a Post Office Union Stewart, and then spent 10 years at Shady Grove School. He was on the Board of Education at Shady Grove School, a founding member of Rural Water District #11 in which he served for many years, a member of the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows, proudly served his country in the United States of America Army as a Corporal.

Carl was a member of Northeastern Oklahoma Limousin Association, Past President of the Hulbert Senior Citizen Center, E.O.D.D. board member , a member of American Modern Woodsmen and in which he was awarded the Hometown Hero.

He was a Christian man and faithful member of 1st Freewill Baptist Church of Tahlequah were he served as the Sunday School Superintendent, treasurer, deacon and spent many years on their building committee, and he currently attends New Wine Fellowship Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ruby Dill Gladd, wife of over 65 years, Madge (Talburt) Dill, brothers, Alex Dill, Walter Dill, Leo Dill, and Benny Dill, sisters, Maye Boston, Roxie Nipps, Lois Sisson, and Audrey McDonald, and a granddaughter, Jennifer Deann Parker.

Survivors include his loving wife of the home, Carole (Johnson) Dill, children: Carol Ann Gonzales and husband Junior , Carl Albin Dill and wife Kathy, Carla Kay Carmichael and husband Rusty, and Cora Littlefield and husband Joe, Randy Johnson and wife Theresa, Kevin Johnson and wife Leslie, and Stephen Johnson and wife Miranda , Jon, Mary, and Nathan Atwood; son-in-law, Jerry Gladd, Jr., sister, Jackie Rodden, grandchildren: Amanda Kay Parker, Jason Bryan Parker, Kristy Alberty, Justin William Krause, Patrick Lee Carlile, Angel Danielle Terrapin, Jessi Dawn Gladd, Kathryn Elizabeth Tsaras and husband Demetri, Sean Alexander Carmichael, Adam Lucas Carmichael, Josh Littledave, Dillon Alberty and Abby Alberty, Jamie Milam, Mikenzi Botheroyd, Chloe Johnson, R.J. Johnson, and Katelyn Johnson; and great grandchildren: Carleigh Danielle Littledave, Kaylin Faith Littledave, Kassidy Michelle Parker, Donnie Girdner, Kayleigh Ann Parker, Raychelle Madge Parker, Kit Kat Parker, Sophia Monroy, Rick Monroy, Ava Gonzalez, Estella Gonzalez, Jake Littledave and Chase Littledave, Mayci Littledave, and Caleb Milam. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
