Homer Lee Paden the son of Claude Edward and Buena Vista (Woodall) Paden was born January 2, 1929 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and departed this life in the presence and arms of three of his sons on the evening of March 20, 2017 at home at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 18 days.
Homer loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed going to the Flea Market, fishing, and gardening. Homer was a giver and loved to give stuff away. He gave thousands of tomatoes away over the years. He was one of seven children and he had seven children of his own. He loved the Lord and had started preaching in the spring of 1947 at the age of 18. He was a gentle and loving man. He loved his family and his tribe with all the love that he had to give. Homer served the Lord and always put Him first and he served his family and his tribe next. Homer's love and giving spirit reached thousands. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Betty Lou Paden; his son Jonny Lee Paden; and his siblings Emerald, Doris, Howard, Cora, John and Darleyne Paden.
He is survived by a loving family which includes his children Stephen Troy Paden Sr. and wife Judy of West Siloam Springs, Theresa Marcel DuPey and husband Greg of Yardville, NJ, Lila Denise Fajardo and husband John of Silver Springs, NM, George Bradly Paden and wife Wendi of Little Kansas, Stanley Vance Paden and wife Dawnena Squirrel of Rose and Howard Watie Paden and wife Alecya of Rose; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
