Homer James "Jim" Wofford passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, and their daughters, Tobiatha Lynn and Jamie Mae. He was a proud grandfather to Garrett (wife Crystal), Emilee, Kyla, Jake, Joe, and Gunner, and a cherished great-grandfather to Bryce and Ruthanette. Jim is also survived by his brothers, Dale and Frank, and his sister, Judy. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Elsie and Homer, and his sister, Dorothy.
Jim served in the military in the early 70's and was deployed to the Vietnam War. When he returned home from the military where he was stationed in Colorado, he brought home his wife, Linda, and drove a semi-truck thousands of miles across the country. A retiree from OG&E, Jim spent a few short years working with Tahlequah Public Schools. He embraced retirement with enthusiasm, spending much of his time traveling and enjoying the company of his grandchildren and family.
Jim could fix anything, from cars to plumbing and some carpentry work. He took great pride in his John Deere tractors and loved collecting knives, coins, and enjoyed various outdoor hobbies. He was a proud United States Veteran that served in the Army and loved his country.
Jim will be remembered for his love for family, his unwavering character, and the memories he helped create for those who knew and loved him. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends."
