Iva Forrest

Funeral services for Iva Lee Forrest will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday November 30, 2017 at the Hart Funeral Chapel with Bro. Rex Hendrickson officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday November 29, 2017 from 5-7 pm.
Interment will follow in the New Home Cemetery under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Online condolences may be left at www.hartfuneralhome.net.

Iva Lee Forrest the daughter of Vernon and Stella (Nichols) Applegate was born April 5, 1931 in Peggs, Oklahoma and departed this life on November 24, 2017 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years, 7 months and 19 days.

Iva loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed quilting, baking cookies and gardening. Her flower garden was something she worked hard at and she loved her African Violets.
She loved having her grandchildren and great grandchildren and taking care of them. She would bake cookies for them and just spoil them. Iva touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.


She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Clinton Forrest; and her sisters Gladys Burkart and Georgia Warren.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her sons Stanley Forrest and wife Grace of Hulbert, Michael Forrest and wife Nelva of Joplin and Brett Forrest and wife Margie of Hulbert; her brother
Ray Dean Applegate of Peggs; her sister Eula Perry of Peggs; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
